Before Sale
When contacted by a potential client we will schedule a time to meet in their home. This gives Liberty the opportunity to evaluate the content of the home to determine if an estate sale is warranted. Every sale is different. Every circumstance is different. If a client would like Liberty to host a sale an agreement will be drawn up and we will set dates and times for taking pictures, setting up the treasures, the sale and clean out of the home.
Liberty will post pictures on various websites to get the most attention to draw shoppers to come and shop! In addition to internet presence, an add will be placed in the local newspaper with dates and times.
The Sale
Liberty uses a "number system". We place numbers on the front door for people arriving early for the best of the best to find. they can then leave but have to be back before opening (9am on the first day). When the doors open, the numbers will be called in first. There is a person to monitor the door so there are only a certain number of shoppers are allowed in at a time. This is to protect the home, the items for sale and the customer.
Our estate sales are 2-3 days depending on the size of the estate. Pricing on merchandise is researched based on current market value and the ability to sell in the local area. Days 2-3 will be discounted with the goal of selling as much as possible for the client and bringing more money to the estate.
After the Sale
After the sale the client is still the owner of the remainder of the contents in the home. They can return and take what they'd like . After this step Liberty can make arrangements for a donation company or clean out crew to clear out what remains. Then Liberty will do a "broom cleaning, blow the dirt out of the garage and wipe down all the counters. The house will then be empty and cleaned out for the next phase of the process.
