The #1 Reason for Having an Estate Sale

Hiring an estate sale company provides several significant benefits that can greatly enhance the experience of liquidating assets. One of the primary advantages is that it saves clients a considerable amount of time and effort by effectively managing the entire liquidation process from start to finish. Our team's expertise in pricing and marketing not only ensures accurate appraisals but also facilitates competitive sales that maximize the value of your items. Moreover, we understand the emotional challenges associated with downsizing, which is why we strive to create a smooth and efficient experience. Compassion at a time of transition

Before Sale

When contacted by a potential client, we will schedule an in-home consultation to assess the contents and determine if an estate sale is appropriate.

Each sale and situation is unique. If the client chooses Liberty to host the sale, we will draft an agreement and set dates for photographing, setup, the sale itself, and post-sale cleanout.

Liberty will promote the sale through online listings and local newspaper ads to maximize visibility and attract shoppers.

The Sale

LIBERTY advertises estate sales across multiple online platforms, including EstateSales.Net, EstateSales.Org, Facebook, The Daily Sun and local community forums, in addition to placing physical signage in the neighborhood. We feature high-quality photos on line, detailed item lists, and clear sale dates and times to ensure maximum visibility.

It’s not uncommon for the first day of a sale to draw 50+ eager shoppers, ready to discover their next treasure. A door monitor is present to limit the number of shoppers inside at any given time, ensuring the safety of both the home and the items for sale.

Estate sales typically run for 2-3 days, depending on the estate's size. Items are priced based on current market value and local demand, with discounts applied on the second and third days to drive sales and maximize the estate's return.

After the Sale

Once the sale is complete, the client remains the owner of any remaining items in the home and is welcome to return to collect anything they’d like to keep. After this, Liberty can coordinate with a donation service and clean-out crew to remove the remaining items. We then perform a thorough "broom cleaning," including blowing out any dirt from the garage and wiping down all counters, leaving the house empty and ready for the next phase of the process.
